The summer has really flown past. Last week we had the fun of a double birthday! Jared turned 40 and David turned 1. Happy Birthday, boys!

Jared got to celebrate by going on a scout campout with the Varsity Scouts (Will and a few other boys). They hiked to the top of Bismark Peak for "On Target," an annual activity where the scouts go to different mountain tops around the state and try to signal each other with mirrors. It was very hazy when they went and couldn't see anyone, but they did make a contact via cell phone.

David celebrated his day by cutting his 10th tooth. Ouch! We didn't have cake or presents or anything, but he didn't mind. NOTE TO OTHER KIDS: Yes, this is going to set a precedent. David did get to play with some balloons and he thought they were very exciting. Grandma sent a card and some new clothes for him and he has enjoyed those very much.
I thought the day was much more relaxing than the same one last year.

I love that you post for their birthdays. That is awesome. I don't know how you can keep up with all of them. I am sure I would forget a birthday and blow it.
So cute! I think a healthy baby is probably the best gift Jared could have gotten on his birthday. Say "Happy Birthday" to them for me!
Fun stuff!!! David is one cute baby! That's great that the boys had so much fun at scout camp. Happy Birthday!!
I like the new precedent. I think I could go for that!
